Find the Right Investors. Raise the Right Capital.

Fundraising Support

A great company does not need every investor.

It needs the right investors — people and organizations who understand the opportunity, believe in the ambition, can provide the capital the company actually needs, and ideally bring more than money to the table.

shift^ Fundraising Support helps investment-ready companies take their opportunity to market — from fundraising strategy and investor targeting to introductions, negotiations, due diligence, and Closing.

Investment Readiness builds the investment opportunity. Fundraising Support takes it to market.

From Investment Ready to Funded

Fundraising should begin when the company is ready — not when it simply needs money.

Before approaching investors, the fundamentals should already be in place: a strong business and investment case, credible financial model, properly structured round, valuation logic, investor materials, due diligence documentation, and a clear understanding of what the capital will achieve.

That is the purpose of Investment Readiness.

Once those foundations are in place, Fundraising Support moves the process from preparation to execution.

Fundraising Strategy

We start by defining how the round should go to market.

Together with the founders, we develop the fundraising strategy, structure and position the round, define its key economic parameters, determine the target investor profiles, and build a realistic fundraising roadmap.

This includes the sequencing of investors, outreach strategy, timeline, priorities, meetings, follow-ups, and milestones throughout the process.

Fundraising is a process — not a collection of investor meetings.

Investor Research & Targeting

More investors do not necessarily mean better fundraising.

We research, identify, segment and prioritize potential investors according to the company and the specific investment opportunity, considering factors such as:

The objective is not to build the longest investor list.

It is to identify the investors with the strongest potential fit.

Investor Outreach & Introductions

We help founders develop the right approach to each investor and prepare the communication required to start meaningful conversations.

Where relevant, we identify opportunities for introductions through our professional relationships, Venture Partners, and broader ecosystem.

We support the preparation and organization of investor meetings and may participate alongside the founders as their Strategic Advisor.

But an introduction is only an opening.

A network can open the door. The investment opportunity has to earn the meeting that follows.

Investor Meetings & Process Management

A fundraising round can quickly become dozens of parallel conversations, meetings, follow-ups, questions, documents, and decisions.

We help manage the process systematically.

This includes preparing for investor meetings, analyzing feedback, prioritizing next steps, coordinating follow-ups, tracking investor engagement, and maintaining momentum throughout the round.

The founders remain at the center of the investor relationship. Our role is to help them run the process with structure, discipline, and perspective.

Negotiation Support

Investor interest is only the beginning of a transaction.

We help founders evaluate and compare investment proposals and understand their economic implications, including:

We support founders in preparing for and participating in negotiations as their Strategic Advisor, while final decisions and legally binding commitments remain with the company.

The objective is not simply to raise capital — but to raise the right capital on the right terms.

Due Diligence

When investor interest becomes serious, fundraising turns into due diligence.

We help organize and coordinate that process — from the Virtual Data Room and information flow to investor questions and communication between the company, investors, and external specialists.

Where legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, or other specialist work is required, it remains with the respective qualified professionals.

Investment Readiness should mean that due diligence is not the moment when the company discovers its own problems.

Closing

“We are interested” is not a closed round.

We support the company through the final stages of the fundraising process, helping coordinate actions, information, documentation, advisors, and timelines as the transaction moves toward Closing.

The investment itself, final legal documentation, investment decisions, and transfer of funds remain directly between the company, investors, and their respective authorized professional advisors.

More Than Money

The investor offering the highest valuation is not necessarily the best investor.

The right investor can bring industry knowledge, credibility, customers, partnerships, talent, international access, follow-on capital, and future exit opportunities.

That is why we look beyond the cheque.

We consider what the investor can contribute to the company — and whether the relationship can create value long after the round has closed.

The objective is not simply to put money on the cap table. It is to put the right people around it.

Equity Is Not Always the Answer

Raising equity is one way to finance growth. It is not the only one.

Equity can be particularly powerful when financing innovation, rapid expansion, and opportunities where traditional financing cannot adequately support the company’s ambitions.

But equity comes at a price: founders exchange ownership and future value for capital today.

Before raising more equity than necessary, we therefore consider whether part of the capital requirement could be financed differently.

Through Corporate Financing Advisory, shift^ can help companies assess and structure bank financing, credit facilities, leasing and asset finance, factoring and working-capital finance, private and alternative debt, grants and public funding, and other appropriate sources of corporate capital.

Sometimes the right answer is equity. Sometimes it is financing. And sometimes the strongest solution is a carefully structured combination of both.

We don’t start with the instrument. We start with what the business needs the capital to achieve.
